When I first arrived in LA in 1991, I fell into the health craze. I was already cleaning up my diet and had given up meat a few years ago, but I was still looking for products that would truly feed my body. Being in graduate school with a small kitchen, and eating the healthiest thing I could find on USC’s campus, I wasn’t doing a lot of cooking. I had to find something that would give me added nutrients, energy, fuel my brain and tasted good enough for me to take daily.
I looked at a ton of green powders and supplements. Since I worked at Whole Foods in the supplement department for a while, I researched all the green powder ingredients and tried a few. Number one on my list hands down is MacroLife Naturals Macro Greens. It’s one of the few green powders I’ve seen over the counter that doesn’t have wheat grass. I am a fan of wheatgrass when needed, but not on a long-term daily basis. It’s acidic and can take the body out of Ph balance. It makes sense it is not in Macro Greens. Their formula is designed to balance the body’s Ph and microbiome for optimal health.
The ingredients plus the taste makes this my go to green powder. There are 38 nutrient dense foods, energy and immune boosting herbs, and a combination of digestive enzymes. It also has 5+ servings of alkalizing fruits & vegetables. One of the reasons I purchased it the first time was it also has a few of my favorite herbal ingredients:
Plus all the additional nutrient dense foods, probiotic combination, and a ton of Vitamin C and Vitamin E, which are essential for building immunity, and a healthy body. If you want to give it try use my affiliate link MacroLife.
My favorite thing about the Macro Greens is that it comes in travel packets. The packets are a staple for all my trips. There is always one in my purse or wallet. When I have been in other countries on the road for a while without food, I start to get that faint feeling. While my travel companions stop by the side of the road to get something to eat, mainly meat, I would take the packet out of my bag, shake it into my water bottle, drink it, and be immediately rejuvenated, knowing I would be fine until I reached my destination. It’s absolutely a wonderful supplement to have on hand.
The Miracle Reds powder… OMG! Being able to get 19 nutrient dense fruits and berries in one serving is huge. It also tastes good. I can see using the reds in a summer lemonade to boost vitamins and immunity. The only caution here is the FOS (fructo-oligosaccharides) for people who have SIBO (small intestinal bacteria overgrowth). The FOS’s is food for bacteria in the intestinal system, which is amazing for maintaining a balanced microbiome. If the gut is already compromised by SIBO, this could may cause an issue. However, when I was working on my gut, I had mild digestive issues, not SIBO, I used Macro Greens often and did not have a problem.

These products are wonderful to use every day and are extremely gentle on the body. I have never had a headache, a stomach ache or felt nausea in any way. I’ve always felt energized and well feed. If you are considering a green supplement or a powder high in polyphenols, phytonutrients and vitamins, try Macro Greens and Miracle Reds. I’ve compared this Miracle Reds to Dr. Gundry’s Vital Reds and other red formulas, you will get more nutrients for the money. Honestly, MacroLife Naturals Macro Greens and Miracle Reds are more complete and have a wider variety of fruits and vegetables that most supplement powders.
You can’t go wrong with these. If you want to give it try use my affiliate link MacroLife.
